Afghanistan project

This year at school Sidney had a housing project.  They had to research a country, write a report and then make a model of the type of home that would be in that area.  Sidney selected Afghanistan.  She called her uncle Dave since he saw them in person and between that conversation and her research she created a great house (with a little help from her dad).  She got an A+ on her project.  See for yourself below.....

Jaxon's last Tball game

It was the final year of t-ball for Jaxon - next year pee wees here we come!  He had a great time and a great coach (it was his dad)!  He did a great job!  Here are a few photos and video of his games......

Last hit of the year! (mom couldn't get the camera to focus right and was a little late......)

Jaxon is playing first base here....red shirt

Sidney's first piano recital

Sidney has been taking piano for over a year now and at the end of May she had her first piano recital.  Leanne, Adam's mom, came all the way from Fargo, ND to see the 1 minute and 30 second performance.  Sidney did a great job and we were very proud of her!  Check out her pieces below....

Did he make it to the plate??? Was it a strike????

Wells Dairy is now the official ice cream of the Minnesota Twins.  If anyone knows my husband, you will know that this makes him very happy!  Well, this week he had some meetings in the twins cities.  He was at the game on Weds night and even though the Twins lost 12-2, Adam will never forget that game.  He got to throw out the first pitch!  Who gets to do that???  I just wish I was there to see it in person.
Well, here it is.....the long awaited video of that special night.......(look at the cheese at the end of the video...cracks me up!!!)

Ring around the rosie

It has been a while since our last entry and this was too funny not to put down.

My son, Carter, and Tate were just doing Ring around the Rosie.  Carter likes to sing it but you must remember he is only 2 1/2 years old so his pronouncation isn't the best on some words.  So this is his version...."Ring around the rosie, pocket full of posies, Ah sh**, Ah sh**, we all fall down!

Sidney's latest commentary

Okay, we're in bed (Mom, Dad and Sidney snuggling, the boys are asleep). We see a preview for a show on TLC - Toddler's and Tiaras. It's about little kids and their parents who push them into beauty contests.

Anyway, one of the highlights on the commercial was a mom shaving her 7 year-old's legs. Lynn audibly gasps, and Sidney wonders what was wrong. Lynn says: "She's shaving her legs at 7!!"

Sidney's response? "A.M.?"

Hug it and Love it. LOL (Sidney asked me to put that here)

Jaxon's Present for Sidney

Sid turns the big 9 tomorrow (Feb. 15th).  Grandma Cosmo came down from Fargo to celebrate, and we had a little cake last night to kick off the festivities (yes, Sidney's birthday is a full weekend event).

In the middle of the celebration, Jaxon decided he wanted to give Sidney a present as well.  And, what better present than, well, himself (yep, that's wrapping paper).  Just what any 9 year-old girl would want - an annoying little brother!

A long weekend for one little boy....

I was making lunch for Carter and the two other boys I watch for daycare and they were all being very crabby today. ....must have all stayed up too late last night watching football.  Carter was being especially quiet during this time.  This means one of two things....1) he was doing something he knows that he wasn't suppose to be doing or 2) he was asleep.  Below is how I found him.......

Yes, he is standing up sleeping!!!  Needless to say, he slept well for nap time today....which makes mom very happy!!! :)

We do have two other children, they are still around, but they really haven't been up to much lately.  Saturday they play basketball so we will get them in action!  Until then......

Carter playing the Wii

Saturday night we were at our good friends house, the Lamfer's, for our "game night with the neighbors" - we try to do every couple of months.  (We really do play games!!!)  We had a great time!  We made it downstairs to play a little Wii.  Carter loves to play the Wii (loves bowling but don't tell him it is really daddy who is playing).  Watch him "play".  He gets into it!  So funny!  Might be one to send into funniest home videos!  Enjoy!

Art Class at Daycare

Tate's masterpiece
Carter's Masterpiece
Carter and Tate having fun
Carter Cheesing out!!!

So, since today was sooo cold (almost -40 wind chill) and I am getting a little sick of staying inside since this winter is NEVER going to end, I decided to get the paint out and let Carter and Tate have at it.  Well I think that they did an excellent job, but you can be the judge.  They weren't so sure about it at first but they got into it.

"I'm Batman"

There have been rumors of The Joker running the streets of LeMars.  After hearing that, Carter sprung to action and donned his crimefighting outfit.  While it was originally Jaxon's and is approximately 4 sizes too big, he still is able to display his "six-pack" midriff in a clear fashion statement unlike anyone could.  That's out boy...as he says in his low, garbled voice: "I'm Batman!"
